The first step on the path to becoming the 乐竞体育赛事直播 President is the Secretary/Treasurer Nominee position. 乐竞体育赛事直播 Officers must meet the following requirements:

Be a current CPM^® in good standing
Served on 乐竞体育赛事直播 Executive Committee or 乐竞体育赛事直播 Board of Directors
Have been an active practitioner in real estate within the last five (5) years
Served in at least three (3) of the following capacities:
- 乐竞体育赛事直播 Senior Vice President within the last five (5) years
- 乐竞体育赛事直播 Regional Vice President or Country Vice President
- Chair or Vice Chair of an 乐竞体育赛事直播 Committee, Advisory Board, Advisory Council, or other ad hoc group
- 乐竞体育赛事直播 Chapter President or international equivalent
- 乐竞体育赛事直播 Foundation Board of Directors
- Officer or Chair or Vice Chair of a committee or board of NAR or an NAR affiliate organization
- Officer of other professional or trade association or non-profit organization

Is a financial/legal/criminal background check required to serve as an 乐竞体育赛事直播 Officer?
Yes. The application includes an 乐竞体育赛事直播 Authorization for Release of and Disclosure of Credit, Legal, and Criminal Background Reports. All applicants will be subject to a third-party review of their financial, legal, and criminal background and you will be required to provide the auditor a tri-merge credit report with a FICO score (Experian, TransUnion, or Equifax) or an international equivalent based on your country of residence.

All of which will be reviewed only by the third-party auditor in totality, and verbally reported from the third-party auditor to the Nominating Committee any issues deemed as material for concern.
Who is eligible to apply for the 乐竞体育赛事直播 Officer position?
You must be a CPM to apply. There are additional required qualifications you must meet at the time of applying. Those who do not meet the required qualifications should not apply.
What are the next steps after I submit my application?
The Nominating Committee vets all applicants, including conducting virtual and in-person interviews. In-person interviews will be conducted in August, in Chicago, with expenses paid by 乐竞体育赛事直播. You will receive more details about this process after submitting your application.
If selected by the Nominating Committee as the next Officer candidate, when would I be officially elected?
The slate of 乐竞体育赛事直播 Officers, including the Secretary/Treasurer Nominee, is published in the January/February issue of JPM. The election of 乐竞体育赛事直播 Officers takes place during the annual Governing Council meeting. All Officers鈥� terms are one-year; terms begin January 1 through December 31. If nominated as the 2027 Secretary/Treasurer Nominee, you would be elected in the fall of 2026 as the 2027 Secretary/Treasurer.
